LaQuanda Coulote, LMFTA
There can be times when we feel like something is holding us back or keeping us stuck in our current circumstances. When we find someone who can help us identify those blocks and move through them in clear, purposeful ways, the experience can be life-changing.
I have always felt a deep desire to help people achieve their greatest potential. One of the most important lessons I learned came from my time working with homeless children and their families. Through this experience, I realized that there can be many factors that contribute to the circumstances and concerns we encounter. I also learned that we can impact the people around us just as they can impact us. When we feel connected to the people in our lives, we have support to help us overcome our challenges.
As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA), I don’t just focus on your relationship with your partner. My approach to wellness is holistic and considers not just what may be happening in your own life but how the relationships with those you love and others around may be impacting you. Even when working with individuals, I believe it’s important to understand the impact of the interactions between you and others. During my career as a therapist, I have worked with people in many different circumstances: couples seeking premarital or relationship counseling, medical patients experiencing chronic pain or illness, families of adolescents in the juvenile justice system, and people seeking personal growth, empowerment, or relationship enrichment.
My holistic approach to wellness has also led me to become a 200 hour certified yoga instructor. I often incorporate concepts of mindfulness, meditation, and deep breathing into my therapeutic practice that help to address your wellness as a complete person rather than simply focusing on problematic behaviors.
I look forward to working with you.
I am now accepting new clients for Saturday appointments at the Matthews office and would love to work with you, your partner, or your family.
